AI Disclosure

Version 0000-00-00.0Effective not yet published
DRAFT — not yet legally binding. Pending lawyer review and entity registration.

1. You are talking to an AI

When you use the “race engineer”, “mechanic” or “coach” features, you are interacting with a third-party large-language model — specifically Anthropic Claude. There is no human reviewing or approving responses in real time. This disclosure satisfies the transparency obligation in Article 50 of the EU AI Act for AI systems that interact directly with natural persons.

2. What we send to the model

  • Your written prompts and messages.
  • Excerpts of your telemetry relevant to the conversation (e.g. the corner you asked about).
  • Session metadata: track, car, lap times, your current setup.
  • A system prompt describing the persona and constraints.

We do not send: your Discord credentials, your payment method, your IP address, or telemetry from other users.

3. What the model is not

  • Not a safety system, not a medical advisor, not a coaching credential.
  • Not a deterministic engineering simulation — answers can vary between runs.
  • Not a guarantee of correctness. The model can produce inaccurate or fabricated information (commonly called “hallucination”).

4. No training on your data

Per Anthropic’s API terms, inputs and outputs sent through the API are not used to train Anthropic’s models by default, and we have not opted in to any program that would change that. Pace-ly itself does not train AI models on customer data.

5. Not Article-22 automated decision-making

The AI does not make decisions producing legal effects or similarly significant effects for you within the meaning of GDPR Art. 22. It produces advisory output that you choose whether to act on.

6. Opting out

You can use Pace-ly without the AI features by sticking to lap compare, per-corner analysis and the session library. To stop sending data to Anthropic entirely, simply do not open a chat session. You can also delete past chat transcripts from /account/privacy.
