Refund & Withdrawal Policy

Version 0000-00-00.0Effective not yet published
DRAFT — not yet legally binding. Pending lawyer review and entity registration.

1. 14-day right of withdrawal (EU consumers)

Under Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights, EU consumers have 14 days from the start of a subscription to withdraw and receive a full refund of the current billing period.

Because Pace-ly Pro starts delivering immediately (AI quota, telemetry recording, analytics), we ask you at checkout to explicitly waive the withdrawal right for the portion of the service already consumed. If you do not waive, your withdrawal right is preserved in full.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, send an unambiguous statement (email is fine) to support@pace-ly.com within 14 days of the first billing date. Refunds are issued to the original payment method via Stripe within 14 days of receiving the request.

2. Cancellation outside the 14-day window

You can cancel at any time from your account via the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep Pro access until then, and you are not charged for the next period.

We do not issue prorated refunds for unused days of a billing period that has already been paid, except where required by mandatory consumer-protection law.

3. Exceptions

We may decline a refund where:

  • The request is made after the 14-day withdrawal window and outside the cases listed in section 4.
  • The account was terminated for breach of the Acceptable Use Policy.
  • The request is part of a pattern of repeated subscribe-and-refund abuse.

4. Discretionary refunds

Outside the cases above, we may at our discretion comp a refund or credit if the Service materially failed to function for you (e.g. an extended outage during your subscription period). Contact support@pace-ly.com.

5. Chargebacks

We prefer to resolve billing disputes directly. If you initiate a chargeback through your card issuer without first contacting us, we may suspend your account pending resolution.

6. Statutory rights

Nothing in this Policy limits rights granted to consumers by mandatory law, including rights under Konsumentköplagen, Konsumenttjänstlagen and Distansavtalslagen in Sweden, and equivalent legislation in your country of residence.
